Choosing a first reader shares a fixed version with their signed-in email. They can respond if you allow it. Their response never changes your original.

Help and privacy

Reading aloud uses your device’s available synthetic voices. Voice recording uses your microphone only after you choose to start. You can keep and replay the original.

The first launch test

Invite a small group of people who enjoy telling stories but don’t write regularly. Test lived stories and fiction, hosted sessions and independent use.

How Sparks work in this prototype

Sparks celebrate creating, not the quality of a story. Write 20 new or changed words in one story during a day to earn 10; minor editing and repeated filler do not add extra Sparks. Finish a story of at least 40 words to earn 20, once for each distinct story. Finish a story begun from the weekly invitation for a 15 Spark bonus, once per weekly invitation. You can finish it later.

Days and weekly invitations use UTC. Your total is saved with this browser’s private collection. Clearing its access cookie can lose access; keep downloaded copies. Sparks do not buy narration or have a cash value. Thresholds are a proposed experience to test with early writers.
